I live in Rancho Cucamonga and was out on a service call in San Diego when my service van died on me. Realizing that I had no other alternative than to either tow it or take it to a local mechanic, I took a leap of faith and pushed my service vehicle to the nearest gas station around. That 76 gas station had an auto shop named 'Cal Oaks Auto Repair.' Not only did they repair my vehicle, but Dimitri and co. helped me out with a very reasonable price. “My son knows zero about cars and has had his check engine light on for a while. We had realized it was a smog issue and had the catalytic converter replaced, but the light stayed on.
A smog tech somewhere else told him that it would be about $200 for the repair, plus smog test costs to get it to pass. This after getting the cat put on by a different place.
The kid finally took my advice and went to go see Dimitri. A couple of hours later, Cal Oaks Auto repair found the problem. A disconnected wire.
